mPerks - Meijer Loyalty Program

Over the last year, I had the privilege of spearheading and collaborating on the development of the Meijer loyalty program, mPerks. With millions of users, we highly value their engagement and successfully launched an enhanced mPerks program in January 2023.

Our commitment to improvement persisted beyond the release, and as the UX designer, I played a key role in implementing several significant enhancements over the past year. We are enthusiastic about the novel strategies and features that will further enrich the experience for our valued customers.

New Feature Launched: mPerks in Cart

In the realm of e-commerce, the cart serves as the final stop for users before completing their orders, representing the ultimate chance for the product to encourage loyalty program utilization. Recognizing the pivotal role of integrating the loyalty program seamlessly into the shopping experience, I took the initiative to introduce the feature of incorporating mPerks into the Cart. This strategic move aimed to enhance the utilization of key features. Since its launch later last year, users can now instantly accrue savings for their current orders, maximizing the impact of the loyalty program.

Recognizing the diverse customer base within loyalty programs is crucial to avoid frustrating less tech-savvy or less engaged users. In the context of Meijer's shopping platform, customers earn points, but some may inadvertently lose out due to lower digital engagement. Demonstrating our commitment to customer satisfaction, I introduced the Auto Claim feature specifically designed for less engaged users, ensuring a seamless and frustration-free experience.

Revamp Loyalty Program for Maximum Impact

The homepage holds paramount significance for any digital product and is inherently strategic. Elevating the visibility of a prominent loyalty program on the homepage can expedite conversion and bolster brand image among customers. I devised a dedicated section for the Meijer loyalty program to ensure its prominence, fostering increased user engagement.

Shopping & Saving

Loyalty programs are often synonymous with shopping and savings, emphasizing a "spend more, save more" ethos. To simplify user access to shoppable products, I integrated a shopping functionality within the points offer. This enhancement facilitates seamless customer engagement, enabling users to effortlessly capitalize on opportunities and redeem offers.
